| If arriving after move in hours, you will need to make other arrangements until the office opens the next day. If you are not moving in on your scheduled move in date, please contact University Towers and inform us of your change in plans. If we do not hear from you or cannot reach you within 24 hours of the move in date, we may consider the apartment abandoned and re-rent it.
Reviewing and signing move in paperwork will take approximately 10 minutes. At the time of move in, please be prepared with the following:

Renter’s Insurance: According to paragraph #17 of your Lease, you must insure your personal property and provide proof of insurance before receiving possession of the apartment. Proof of insurance is acceptable in the form of a letter from your insurance company on company letterhead stating your name, University Towers apartment number and address, and the fact that you have coverage either through a homeowner’s policy from your permanent residence or a renter’s insurance policy. Please understand that you will not be allowed to move in without providing proof of insurance.

Rent: The rental amount due at move in is listed in paragraph #3 of your Lease. The full rental amount due must be paid before keys will be released. If roommates are arriving separately, please make arrangements to prepay rent due at move in so the keys can be released to the first person to arrive. Rent is accepted in the form of personal checks, money orders, or cashier’s checks. We cannot accept cash or credit/debit cards.

Photo Identification: Please bring your photo identification with you so we can make a copy for your resident file.

Parking: University Towers has no control over the City of Ann Arbor issuing parking tickets or towing vehicles and cannot be held responsible for such actions. Please park responsibly when unloading your vehicle at move in.
Please note the "street" and lot next door to the building is
privately owned and you will be towed if you park there.
South Forest Avenue is a commercial loading zone and you risk
being ticketed if you park there. You may want to leave someone with your car while unloading or make use of the Forest Street parking garage one block South
on South Forest Avenue.

Electric Service: In order to have electric service on your move in date, contact DTE Energy at 1-800-477-4747. Contact them early as it may take several days to set up your service account.

Internet, Television, and Telephone: Synergy provides
Internet, Television, and Telephone service for University Towers. Contact Synergy at
734-222-6060 or at utowers@synergybroadband.com
for questions and to set up services.

Furniture: If you would like any University Towers furniture removed, please contact us 2 weeks prior to your move in and we will arrange to have the furniture removed before your arrival. If we do not hear from you, the furniture will remain in the apartment until our staff can remove it (which could take a week or more).
